The M1, junction 21 or 22, provide good access to Leicester city centre. The M69 and M6 also offer easy access from Birmingham, Wales and the Southwest.
Parking is widely available, with 8,500 parking spaces available in the city centre and 2,580 additional car parking spaces available at the three Park & Ride sites. Motorcycle parking is also available in the some city centre car parks and on street at Millstone Lane, Rutland Street and Bowling Green Street.
Follow the car park zone signs to find a space at one of the city’s many car parks – all of the multi-storey car parks in the city centre are well sign-posted and have up-to-date real-time availability clearly shown, so if your first choice is full, carry on to the next car park with available spaces.
Park & Ride
The service will be extended until 9pm on Christmas lights switch-on, Thursday 18 November, at all 3 sites. Every Sunday will run 10am to 5.30pm as will Boxing Day.
There will be normal timetabled services on the Bank Holidays of Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 December. Effectively there will be a service on every December date apart from Christmas Day. There will be no service on either Saturday 1, Sunday 2nd Jan or Monday 3rd January.
Leicester lies on the London-Sheffield and the Birmingham-Peterborough lines. Leicester Rail Station is ideally situated on London Road (A6). You can walk straight out of the station and into the main shopping area of the city within five minutes. Look up your train journey on the National Rail website for information on timetables and fares.

London to Leicester takes just under three hours. Ashby de la Zouch, Coalville, Kegworth, Market Harborough, Loughborough and East Midlands Airport are also served by National Express.

Car Parking
There are two public car parks both located within easy walking distance to the ice rink – NCP St Nicolas Circle with 715 spaces and the John Lewis Multi-Storey car park located off Vaughan Way with 2000 spaces.
Walking
Jubilee Square is right in the heart of the city centre; just 5 minutes’ walk from the clock tower, 10 minutes from Haymarket bus station and 15 minutes’ walk from Leicester train station.
Cycling
There are cycle racks located around the city centre and at Jubilee Square.
Bus and Coach
Haymarket Bus Station is less than 10 minute walk from Jubilee Square.
St Margaret’s Bus Station is closed for refurbishment so coaches are stopping at various other points.
Leicester Rail Station
Jubilee Square is 15 minutes’ walk from the train station depending on your walking pace.
